Learn about the incredible world of Digital Art!

 

Introduction

Digital Courses are offered on a continuous basis throughout the year. Classes are taught in small groups of 2 to 6 people.

All new students begin with the Absolute Beginner’s Course for an essential introduction to Adobe programs.

After students complete the Beginner’s Course, follow-up courses will be offered depending upon the number of requests.

 

Details

Courses range in length from 4 classes for the Beginner’s Course, to 16 classes for more complex subjects like Board Game Design or Digital Painting.

The cost of the Beginner’s Course is R1600 – It consists of 4 classes hosted on a weekly basic.

After completion, classes are R350 each.

 

Requirements

Some courses require the purchase of a digital drawing tablet.

1. The Absolute Beginners Course

Matte Painting

• PREREQUISITE: Digital Painting 101
• Combining photographs with digital painting to create fantastic landscapes

 

 

Card Game Design

• PREREQUISITE: Digital Painting 101
• Group project
• Conceptualizing an idea, planning & perfecting a functional game engine as a group

Board Game Design

• REQUIREMENTS: Canon or Nikon digital single-reflex camera
• Introduction to using a DSLR camera on manual mode
• Field trips!

Digital Photography 102
